Official Launch-IQStudent Network

We are pleased to inform you, that the official launch of the
IQ Student network will take place at

Venue: DCU- Computing Building- Room L221

Date: 28th Feb 2006- Tuesday

Time: 6- 8 pm

It will host the talk from Mr. Daragh O'Brien on

Data Quality and Why should we care about it?

along with his experiences with the information quality.
This will be followed by tea/ coffee/ wine.

Who are we?

We are a group of students, affiliated with IQ Network, trying to raise the awarness of Data and Information Quality among the students.

Our Objectives are:

Make students aware of:

• What data quality is, and the issues associated with it.
• How poor data affects our daily lives.
• And Benefits of good quality data.
• Techniques in recognising data quality issues.
• Know techniques to solve the problems and furture prevention.

Also:

• Create a student link between organisations and students.
• Make organisations aware of our existence, objectives and benefits.

We achieve our objectives by:

• Official launch of IQ Student Network.
• Advertising the Data Quality issues.
• Making brief talks on campus.
• Inviting known guest speakers from organisations.
